Liverpool are reportedly interested in Turkish defender Ozan Kabak, with Jurgen Klopp preparing for Dejan Lovren’s exit.
That’s according to German outlet BILD, who claim the Reds have already contacted Schalke about the centre-half.
In the same report it’s claimed Kabak has a release clause of around £41million, but that won’t come effect until next summer.
Because of this Liverpool are able to negotiate a price with Schalke.
The Bundesliga outfit are said to be going through financial troubles and would be willing to accept a lower fee.
Kabak would seemingly be keen on a move to Anfield, given the fact Virgil van Dijk is one of his idols.
The 20-year-old shared a photograph of himself receiving one of the Dutchman’s shirts as a gift – and he looks buzzing.
