Klopp drops funny metaphor for Firmino’s role in LFC’s team – and he’s spot on

Roberto Firmino is one of the most important cogs in Jurgen Klopp’s red machine, but he often goes underappreciated by many pundits and fans alike.

His 10/10 performance against Leicester City over the weekend was perhaps a perfect example of what he does for his team-mates, as Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane thrived on the flanks thanks to the Brazilian.

Firmino was able to round off his night with a goal, just moments after smashing an effort off the inside of the left post at the Kop end and having a rogue ball cleared off the line.

Speaking ahead of the Reds’ Champions League clash with Atalanta on Wednesday night, Jurgen Klopp dropped a phenomenal metaphor for the role Bobby plays in his Liverpool team.

The boss likened the No.9 to a musician “playing 12 instruments in our orchestra” – as a way of saying he pulls the strings when the team puts on a show.
