Liverpool are reportedly ‘prepared’ to bring in a top-class left-back this summer to offer defensive cover for Andy Robertson.
The Reds are not interested in signing a player to compete with the Scotsman, but could be eyeing up two possible targets.
According to GOAL’s Neil Jones – a solid source for Liverpool news, Jamal Lewis and Lloyd Kelly could be potential candidates.
Both defenders play for relegation-threatened sides, which lines up with previous recruitment strategies by FSG.

Robertson and Xherdan Shaqiri played for clubs that were relegated immediately before signing for Liverpool.
Norwich City’s Lewis is arguably the better of the named potential targets, but the Reds could do worse than Kelly.
The Bournemouth defender doesn’t offer much going forward, which is important for a full-back under Jurgen Klopp.
20-year-old Lewis – on the other hand – is more of a threat from the left-flank and is much closer to Robbo’s playing style.
