France superstar Kylian Mbappe has reportedly told PSG he wants to leave the club at the end of the season.
That’s according to Times journalist Duncan Castles, who also claims playing the the Premier League is a ‘dream‘ for the World Cup winner.
Elaborating on that point, the reporter also states Liverpool is Mbappe’s preferred choice, with Manchester United cited as an enticing possible destination.
Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, Castles also clarifies that playing in La Liga is another desire of the PSG hotshot, with Real Madrid and Barcelona mentioned as desirable clubs.
While the Mbappe-to-Liverpool rumour may seem like fantasy, it’s worth noting the Times journalist was early to the news of Thiago Alcantara’s transfer from Bayern Munich over the summer.
As early back as August 4, Castles was talking about Jurgen Klopp wanting to get the deal for the Spaniard ‘done as quickly as possible’ [via the Express].
While this new report is certainly not confirmation Mbappe is going to sign for Liverpool, or even that he’s definitely going to leave PSG, it’s certainly encouraging to hear someone with a track record talking up the possibility.
